THE MUDHOUNDS

The Mudhounds is a Hill Country Blues/American Roots Band. With over-the-top slide guitar licks, droning grooves, and hypnotic boggie rhythms, this is not your grandfather's blues.  Mudhound is a slide guitar player that honed his skill through numerous pilgrimages to Clarksdale, Mississippi.  The music is a blend between soul-stirring roots of the past and an electrified, supersonic juggernaut.   Spill Magazine has called it "fusion of passion, energy and pure musical talent" with "roots as rich as the Delta itself."
In 2024, they released their debut album “The Dirt I am Used to”.  It is streaming on all platforms, and video clips appear on the official website.  More music from The Mudhounds is due in late 2026.
The Mudhounds traveled extensively in 2025 and 2026. They have been invited to play large festivals including Smiling Acres Music Festival (Rev. Peyton’s Big Damn Band), Canal Winchester Blues and BBQ (Ray Fuller and Mud Morganfield) and the G.O.A.T. Picnic (Duwayne Burnside and Bobby Rush).  Members have an IBC Award (2019) and decades of live music experience.  A stellar review of their live performance appears in the Spill Magazine.
